                The Cast - Members Resumés

                Clare Simpson


                Clare Simpson jumped straight in at the deep end, and began her dancing career with the Shropshire-based Appalachian team, Kickin' Alice. She was one of the founder members of Raise the Dust in 1992.

                Lizzie Passmore


                Lizzie Passmore
                originally danced with the prestigious
                Oyster Morris (based in Canterbury) before moving to Mid-Wales, when she joined Kickin' Alice. She too is a founder member of Raise the Dust.

                Rosie Green

                Rosie Green joined Raise the Dust in 1995. Her singing adds another dimension to Raise the Dust's  performances. With a voice ideally suited to Old time songs, Rosie pursues her  own musical career as a solo performer and as a duo with Charlie Beresford.                 Geraldine King

                Geraldine King began dancing Morris with The  Knots of May, then with Cuckoo's Nest (both Sussex  based), before joining Broken Ankles in 1986. In a break from  performance dancing, she spent a couple of years tap dancing for fun and joined Raise the Dust in 1996 on moving to the Welsh borders.

                Allice Savery


                Alice Savery used to practice with us before she went off to university and we were delighted that she decided to join us as a  performing member of the team. It's good to have her back.

                Judith Scrogham came to a couple of our Autumn 2009  workshops and decided she'd like to join.  She had dabbled with Westmoreland and  Lancashire Clog Dance in the past.

                Pippa Tee


                Pippa Tee also came to two of our Autumn 2009  workshops and enjoyed them so decided to join us too. Pippa is a Landscape Designer and would welcome enquiries. Email her at:

                Pete Damsell

                Pete Damsell not only provides superb fiddle and  banjo accompaniment for our dancing but also plays English and French dance  music with various bands. He is chairman of the Montgomeryshire based Folk Arts Support charity TASC. For  further information or bookings contact Pete
